For over 160 years we’ve been operating in Australia. In that time we’ve helped shape the way Australians think about glass, from being just a functional building product to something that adds value to our homes and our lives.
We know that natural light creates healthier, happier and more connected spaces. We also know that demand for comfortable and more energy efficient spaces is growing. Glass can help solve building challenges when it comes to natural light, comfort and thermal efficiency – and this is what excites and inspires us.
Today, we are the largest glass processor in Australia. We continue our passion for glass by leading the industry for quality and innovation, supporting our customers and the wider community in accessing and understanding the benefits of choosing better glass for our homes and buildings.

History
Viridian was born in 2007 when CSR Ltd acquired Pilkington Australia and DMS Glass, becoming a part of CSR’s building and construction products family. Both Pilkington and DMS have proud histories of new and innovative ideas, with Pilkington’s heritage in Australia dating back to 1856. In 2019 Viridian was acquired by new ownership, and continue with ongoing commitment to providing processed glass to our customers.
Today, we continue this passion and love for glass as the leading processor of residential and architectural glass in Australia, and remain 100% Australian owned and operated.

We sponsor breakthrough research and technologies in association with universities both nationally and internationally. We’re active in developing a range of innovative glass technologies.
For us innovation isn’t abstract, it’s about changing lives by making glass that gives people better control of their homes. It’s about bringing increased comfort and natural light into your living room, your work and all of your spaces.
