Brighton, Victoria
It was a blockbuster, in an uncertain time the 2020 season of The Block prevailed with stunning homes and record breaking auction results. Read our interview with project architect, Julian Brenchley and view the video and picture gallery below.
Sarah and George had an amazing vision for their 1940s treasure! They honoured the old parts of the home by restoring some of the original finishes and paying tribute to the period, whilst respectfully modernising the new areas. Take a look at some highlights where Viridian Glass was used to create magical spaces.
The Original Home
The way Sarah and George reconstructed the areas of the original home was truly stunning. Especially the amazing reconstruction of the windows around the front of the house. The plain clear glass panels you see contain LightBridge next™ double glazing.
Stair Balustrading
The stair balustrading contained VTough™ safety glass. These panels were cut to the requirements at our Melbourne plant and transported over for installation. The result is a really crisp and seamless finish through the centre of the new areas of the home.
Kitchen and Dining
The heart of the home! The place where light explodes into the space with the use of high performance LightBridge next™ double glazing. Creating connecting elements around that impressive stone benchtop. Beautiful!
Courtyard Doors
This is such a jewel in the home, these amazing large glass doors leading to the special Japanese maple tree in the courtyard. It’s spaces like this which really show us just how much we love glass.
Viridian LightBridge next™ double glazing was used in the windows and doors.
Viridian VTough™ safety glass was used for the glass balustrades.
